Certification:
To protect you and give our kids the best and most safe experience
possible, you must take the AYSO Safe Haven course and you must get certified
at the age level you are coaching and/or refereeing. We understand that
this is an additional commitment of time so we've scoured the NYC regions
to find alternative times and places you can get this training. Check out
the schedules below. Training is not optional.
Player Evaluation:
Is essential to keeping the teams balanced. Please fill out player evaluation
forms at the end of the season so we can best organize next year's teams.
download form here:

Completing your team's rating form is easy. Just write in your players'
names, ranking them starting with the best player on top. Please enter their
jersey numbers so your coach coordinator can know who's who, and then rate
them according to the following scale:
5------Superstar. A dominant player who takes control of
the game, with superior skills
4.5 ---Great player who can occasionally dominate the field
4 -----Excellent player who can score goals, lead on defense
and make an impact
3.5 ---Above average and approaching excellence
3 -----Good player with basic skills who can be expected
to make plays.
2.5 ---Average player who is not a weak link nor one of
your better players
2 -----Below average player makes some plays but doesn't
get in on the play
1.5 ---Weak player who occasionally makes a play on the
ball
1 -----Non-contributor who lacks focus and consistently
mis-kicks the ball
To set the balance, please compare your players to those on the other teams
you have played this season.
You can complete the evaluation on your computer and email it back to mbalton@earthlink.net
or use a printed version of the form and hand it in at the game to your coaching
coordinator, to Andrew or to the Coach Administrators, Michael Balton and Peter Locascio. All evaluations
must be returned by November 9th, so we can schedule the coordinator evaluations.
Thanks, as always, for your enthusiasm, efforts and ideas.
Andrew Hryniuk, Head Coach
Peter Locascio, Coach Administrator
Michael Balton, Coach Administrator
